Graduation Portrait Photography at the University of Michigan | Ann Arbor Senior Photographer

May 27, 2026 in Graduation Portraits, Ann Arbor, Michigan, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor Photographer

The spring graduation season in Ann Arbor is always one of my favorite times of year! I’m so excited to share another round of senior portraits on the beautiful University of Michigan campus! This session with Rachel was such a fun one — not only because of the energy and excitement that comes with graduation day approaching, but because we got to explore some of the most iconic spots around downtown Ann Arbor together.

A blue sash featuring a block M and The University of Michigan seal are held by hands that have sparkly nail polish on them.

We started at the stunning University of Michigan Law Quadrangle, one of the most recognizable and photogenic places on UM’s campus. It is a classic choice posed and candid graduation portraits.

From there, we made our way through downtown Ann Arbor and went to the Michigan Union, which was just around the corner. This is another iconic and popular University of Michigan landmark that holds so many memories for students throughout their college experience.

We also spent some time near Nickels Arcade. The historic arcade’s natural light and glass ceiling was the perfect way to wrap up the session while capturing a mix of candid moments and classic cap-and-gown portraits.

One of my favorite parts of photographing graduation portraits at the University of Michigan is getting to hear everyone’s unique story — where they studied, what organizations they were involved in, and what’s next after graduation. Every session ends up feeling a little different because each graduate brings their own personality and memories into the experience.

Thank you again to Rachel for reaching out and trusting me to document such an exciting milestone. Congratulations on your graduation and everything ahead!
